Jeannette Lichner

Jeannette is a Non-executive director, advisor to established and start up businesses on strategy and governance, and an executive coach.

Prior to her portfolio career Jeannette qualified as a Certified Public Accountant in the State of New York. She then began a 20-year career as an executive within the financial services industry. She held roles in regulatory compliance, operational risk management, finance, operations, corporate finance, technology and human resources, as well as Chief Operating Officer in firms including Morgan Stanley, JPMorgan and Bank of America.

This was followed by a 10-year consulting career, during which she advised clients on governance, risk and regulatory matters. Her final consulting role was at FTI Consulting where she established and led the EMEA Governance, Risk and Regulatory practice and cross business Financial Services team. She has extensive experience of advising boards on specific issues, establishing robust corporate governance arrangements, conducting board effectiveness reviews, delivering education programmes and providing performance coaching.

Jeannette qualified as an executive coach in 2009 and works with people of all ages, ranging from Board directors/senior executives through to university graduates. She is a Companion member of the Chartered Institute of Management. She is also involved in the work aimed at building the financial capability of young people. This interest led her to becoming an author of the book titled Your Money: Everything you need to know about Earning, Spending, Borrowing and Saving.

Jeannette holds Bachelor of Science in Commerce and Master of Science in Accounting from the McIntire School of Commerce of the University of Virginia, where she is a member of the Global Advisory Board.
